A couple got up from the bar and we sat down. Then the bartender said that we needed to get up because some people were on a waiting list, pointing to who he wanted to sit, that there is no open seating at their bar counter. Was it the color of our skin to why we stood out to have him inform us of this new rule and to get up from the bar counter??? I found this untrue because I watched 2 separate people arrive after we did and I know for sure they each did not put a name on any list and I saw them scoot in a bar seat after someone got up. I also say "new" rule because I have been there before, a few times, and NEVER had to put my name on a list to sit at the bar. In fact, this time and the other times, I was NEVER asked to put my name on a list or even told there was one. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN BAR VIRGILE
My wife and I loved this place. A cozy venue, very nicely decorated. Great service and friendly staff. My wife and I had a bunch of small plates and everything was excellent. We had cheesecake for dessert that was decadently delicious. The chef came over to chat with us as we were having the dessert. We will definitely we returning!
Wow, great staff, food, drinks. All around a great experience. Staff was very friendly and personal, super attentive to walk through menu and drinks. From Chicago and easily rivals dining experiences. Thank for a excellent experience and Birthday.
Awesome cocktails. Right next to the DPAC, so great for a pre/post show drink. Be wary that others will have the same idea; be prepared for a wait/crowd during peak times.
