I love this store. There's always something on sale, and they get new items pretty often. The prices are reasonable and the service is always friendly and helpful.
I love Ashley Stewarts. I can find clothes that I wouldn't find any where else. The clothes fit perfectly on me.
My sister and I drove from Greensboro to the Durham location on August 15th. When we walked into the store the staff was very unfriendly never spoke to us. So I sarcastically said hello...shenthen looks at me strange like I had said something foreign to her. So I said normally people speak to customers and she says it and kept on working. We spent about 50 minutes in the store and the manager finally comes out eating and smacking and never said hello or can I help you ladies with anything, but proceeds to open her mouth and says you can only take one at a time ehile walking and never made eye contact. So I assumed ahe was speaking to us. By then I was livid because we in your store about to purchase clothes from your store buy you treating customers as if we don't exist. We get to the cash register to purchase our items she asked did anyone help you? I'm looking at her like lady are you serious. My sisters says no we been in the store all this time and no one helped. The lady says I'm sorry ma'am and kept on ringing up our items. Let's back it up a bit we stood there for a little while before the manager finally decided to get the other ladies attention to come and check us out. Once again the manager never acknowledge us, never made eye contact and never said a word. I have been a Ashley Stewart's customers for years and I have never been treated as such. If we didn't need a certain out fit I would have walked out the door. Another thing there was a stain on a out fit my sister asked her if she could reduce it down. The manager says no...which I know that's a lie because all the other stores I have been to would take another 10% off but she says she couldn't because it's damage merchandise. How about she put that same so called damaged merchandise back on the rack. I will drive to Charlotte or order online for my next purchases.
I overall like Ashley Stewart's clothing. I usually order online but visited the store over the weekend. The staff was friendly and told me about the sales they had going on. The only thing was the store was very dirty, it looked like the carpet hadn't been vacuumed in a while. The dressing room was even worse. If they would take better care of this place people may want to actually shop in there.
