The food was great but the service was better! Our server, Tish if I remember correctly, was super friendly and efficient. She answered out questions quickly and made suggestions when asked. She was terrific! The shrimp & grits was phenomenal, as were the chicken and waffles. The salmon cakes were also delicious. The portion sizes were very generous. We took our leftovers home and had them for breakfast the following day, and the food was great even then. I got unsweetened tea and it was easily the best I've had in North Carolina. I can't wait to go back!

Amazing brunch with all the favorites with amazing twists. We especially loved the red velvet waffles and French toast, chicken wings and shrimp and grits. Oh, the mac and cheese was divine as well and the service was top notch, warm and welcoming.
Went there today for their 3 year anniversary with the order of an entree free French Toast. I gave the meal to a Friend she had the Meat Trio Omelet w/Cheese and old fashioned home fries and Biscuit she said, all of it was good. Usually she doesn't eat all of her Food but today all GONE. I will be going back, as being a cook myself, I know what is good/not.
The shrimp were perfection. They were succulent, tender and seasoned to wonderfully atop some delicious cheesy grits.
My breakfast companion ordered the salmon cakes, cheese eggs, grits and sweet potato biscuit.

I am used to my shrimp and grits being a little more colorful and textured, ex:...green peppers, onions, andouille sausage, but this was delicious even with the omissions.
Nice hidden gem. We came down to Durham for a track meet and someone told us to try this place. I think the restaurant is near a University due to the large amount of college students. Food was nicely seasoned. SALMON CAKE Superb . Shrimp and grits delicious. Strawberry lemonade homemade excellent!!! Service was quick and made to order!!!
