My wife, son and I went to blue corn cafe on Saturday. Service started out good then it turned bad very quickly. I ordered the cod. When it came out all three of us tried a small piece and all agreed that it was tasteless and bland. After sampling a little bit of each itiem that was on my plate I decided that I couldn’t eat eat anything so bland tasteless and greasy. Asked the waitress if I could order something else. She said it was restaurant policy that seeing half of the plate was eatin ( about 1/8 of the plate was gone)that I would have to pay for both plates. Not being able to eat the cod I put the napkin on my plate to indicate that I was finished. Plate was removed. Tried to explain this to the manager and her response was (Oh! That’s to bad)and curtly turned and walked away. We did end up paying for all three meals. We try to eat at local restaurants avoiding big chain restaurants. We have eaten and enjoyed this restaurant numerous times but after this last experience I guess that our options for eating out and enjoying local establishments we now have one less option.
The food was great. It was like a hug in my mouth. Large portions of great tasting food. The atmosphere is also very good. Drinks were reasonable as well.

Blue Corn catered our employee appreciation meal for 75 of our temporary employees. They were a huge hit. The food was fantastic. They arrived on time and set-up quick. You could tell a lot of care and pride went into the food. Their staff is amazing, always seeking to go above and beyond when serving their customers. I eat at their restaurant once a week as well. Everything about this place is top notch.
