I always enjoy going to the Carolina Theatre. It is truly a gem of Durham. This venue hosts a wide variety of stage events from hilarious comedy stand up shows to various genres of music, plays and many others performances, you will never be disappointed! I love this place! It is a renovated building with a rich history and culture, and definitely a 'must visit'.
A nice theatre in the heart of Durham. Beautiful courtyard adjacent to the convention center. Lovely interiors. Concession stands sell a variety of food and beer/wine. A great place for a show!
Plus, they bring in some good live acts on top of the unique movies they show.
Great place with friendly and very helpful staff. The box office was able to get us three seats together and 8 rows closer after we picked up our will call tickets that had us in two different rows. The experience in row d was splendid. My only complaint and that of many sitting around me was that the air was on and it's the middle of December!! People were wrapped in their jackets.

My wife and I love this place. Just a great nostalgic place. Reminds you of the 50s or later. No place like it that I know of.
