I told them that I wasn’t going to pay for those items and would like my money back for my tickets (since the only reason we went to an AMC 30 minutes from our house instead of literally anywhere else closer was because we had coupons), and only then did the manager offer to provide us with free drinks and popcorn.

We went with coupons that we received from another AMC theater (not for complaining, as a gift from one of the employees during the holidays). When we went to this Southpoint AMC theater tonight, they refused to honor them until we talked to the manager’s manger. They tried to tell us that the coupons were for a small item, and since they don’t sell small items anymore (only “regular”) that all the coupon would do for us was give us a discount. Then they told us that the total WITH THE DISCOUNT for two “regular” drinks and a “regular” popcorn would be NINE DOLLARS. WITH THE DISCOUNT. Are they insane?

Just terrible. If you want to feel like a valued customer, go anywhere else. Regal is usually nice!

I bought tickets a month in Advance to see "Star Wars - The Last Jedi" on an IMAX Screen. Nothing was wrong until the previews started, they were blurry - even the "The following preview was approved for all audiences" It was like this for the entire movie - Unless the screen picture was focused on one person, it was blurry for words and things in the background. Everyone around me was commenting on that. When I called back, I was hung up on when I asked to speak to a Manager, I called back again and "David" said the machines were calibrated and nothing was wrong. When I suggested that there was a issue and other people noticed, he got quite flippant and refused to listen to the rest of the conversation. TO say that this is a poor experience is an understatement for such a blockbuster movie is really quite disturbing. There are a lot of theatre's in the area. Go to a different one - This one isn't worth the money.

Let this be a lesson to your business: you lost a customer tonight, for all of AMC theaters. The hundreds of not thousands of dollars I could have spent at your theaters over my lifetime is now gone because you didn’t want to loose $10 of revenue from popcorn and drinks (if you even make that much from it). Businesses work by making happy customers, and you’re not achieving that. We won’t be back to an AMC theater, even with coupons next time.

It pains me to give such a low reading to a theater I've had mostly good experiences at. But circumstances have changed. I have been a Stubs Premiere member for 6 months but have had to go through hoops for them to honor my membership in person. And after releasing a follow up for a refund, since I was not able to use my paid membership for half a year, I never heard back. On top of that, now that I am a Moviepass member, this theater does not allow me to collect points for ticket purchases. At all. Even though I'm a Stubs Premiere member in good standing. I like AMC, but if they are going to show in so many ways they don't value me as a, customer, I will not give them my business whenever possible

I love coming here when I get my FREE movie tickets from the UNC Blood Donation Center. If you bring just one other person to donate with you they will give you each an AMC ticket!! Saving lives and getting free stuff? Yes please
