Leaving all Duke University practice just because of this place! I had the worst experience at this practice. Went in for a physical/checkup and requested meds.. the doctor coded the visit wrong and my insurance didn't cover it. I called to dispute the charges and still ended up with balance. The doctor was not knowledgeable at all, she kept googling things for search results related to my issue. She had no clue or idea, I had to tell her what to prescribe me. The story goes on but this is just a warning! I'm transferring all my records to UNC Chapel Hill. Goodbye Duke
Very nice and clean office, from the waiting room to all the rooms I've been in and walked passed. My doctor is great. My very first visit she listened to me thouroughly and got me the extra care I needed and followed back up with me. Even the nurses who seen me before the doctor came in to see me were great. They were genuine and kind to me. I can tell they cared even if they didn't know me.
Told my doctor that I was having issues with my birth Control and I wanted to change it. She told me I was Manic Depressive instead and instead of switching my pills she offered to give me bipolar medication. I told her repeatedly that was not the issue seeing as I had been fine before it. She continued to force bipolar meds on me until I had to change doctors because I felt like she never listened to a word I said.
I definitely felt treated like a number. They have no sympathy and will give you the run around. They have NO compassion. I don't recommend this place.
I've never had a truly bad experience here. I've been to see both Dr. Williams and Dr.Turnbull, and found them both to be knowledgeable and compassionate. I will say that the lines to get in can be a little long (one time I was 10 min early, but by the time I was checked in I was 5 min late- and the front desk scolded me!) but other than that I've found both doctors and the lab staff to be very friendly. The recommendations I've gotten for specialists from Dr. Williams have also been great!
