Keeping up with scripts does not seem to be a mission for b&d. Nor returning your calls BEFORE you run out. Or just faxing them in. I don't understand?
So inevitably these two wonderful individuals cannot possibly give their' potential when they each have 35+ under their watch. So individuals suffer and fall through cracks. I cannot, absolutely cannot contact my MD here at b&d. So? What do you do? You can't even schedule an appointment, really, you can't. So when your meds run out? They just run out. You go into extreme sickness and increasing of your disability diagnosis. You go to your Internal Med MD (over a dozen times in my 3plus yrs with b&d, also about a half dozen to Urgent Cares who are actually beginning to be very good about writing the scripts provided you have the bottles and indeed they are over due to be filled. Once this was a problem. Now just mention that the issue is not getting returned calls from b&d and they understand.) Use the one closest to b&d on Fayetteville Rd. There, (b&d's) reputation preceding you. And they now understand. Certainly not ideal, but it beats the ER or just going fruitloops and ending up in state psych hospital. I do think your Internal Med is best when possible.
I know several people that go here & it's got full spectrum treatment so everything from mental to physical in the same plaxe. Excellent staff, everyone from the front desk, to the doctors & directors, are upbeat & give me the impression they actually give a damn. Now some of the clients are out there & wild but it's worth it to feel like you've got a team in your corner. Many thanks to the dept. heads I like best.. you know which two you are.
I truly understand how terrified this can leave you. It sure does me.
My doctor at this establishment is wonderful she is the best I have ever had hands down this one star is in no way shape or for intended for her I give her 50 stars if I could, however, everyone in the lobby is rude and very unkind to everyone. I do realize that they treat addiction patients at this location, but treating every patient like garbage or as if they were or are an addiction patient is so wrong on so many levels, and for that matter how can an addiction patient get better or better them selves in any way or form if half the staff is treating them like they are trash or scum! This is totally infuriating to me. Also, the most ridiculous part is medication checkup/refill appointments, if you want one of these you have to call between the hours of 8am and 9am and hope they actually answer the phone, which I’m 100% convinced they take off the hooks at this point after having spent 2 weeks every month calling 100 plus times (not an exaggeration) to not get an appointment at all because no one answered or it rang busy the entire time period. I have video recorded these incidents at this point to show my doctor why I keep missing months of my medications.
If you're REALLY TRYING TO RECIEVE HELP, DO NOT GO HERE!! They burn your insurance up, for nothing!! Big pharma techniques , taking on more clients then what they have liscenced people to care for. It's sad the owner is from Duke , Dr.Durant, and this is her legacy. Simply money hungry.
They are way overbooked so I see them one 1 hour per week (unless something happens). Then no.
My advice is just try and stay calm and understand that your regular MD does understand what b&d does not. They also will not have their own calls or emails returned proving your delima. Hope helps someone.
Let me make sure it's understood I have two 5star CST members.
I only called for new patient information and insurance coverage. The "front desk" is very rude, abrasive, and I was put on hold several times in the middle of either ends sentence. The phone wasn't answered as a business, but more like a personal cell phone number. The conversation seemed difficult instead of informative. The Dr. I would have liked to see is very high rated; however, how can you expect to keep, gain, or retain patients with such a rude and uninformed staff as your forefront? Geez.
