Dr. Parekh performed bilateral bunion surgery (both feet done at the same time ) and the result was perfect. I was walking the same day in the support shoes & needed no pain meds after 3 days. I no longer have the horrible pain I had wearing shoes, walking and sleeping. These are the pics 8 weeks post op. I am able to take long multi mile walks and am completely pain free. Duke is an amazing facility. Cannot say enough about the staff at the Davis same day surgery center & all the staff. Kyle the PA is also amazing!
I had surgery a couple years ago w Dr Perekh. I can honestly say that I have regretted it every day. My foot hurts constantly. Swells with basic walking. I fill like I have been mamed. Be smart and seek other advice.

I can't wear normal shoes anymore without experiencing pain. I have had this toe all my life and this is surely NOT how my foot looked like before Dr Parekh "fixed" my toe.
Dr Parekh operated on a broken metatarsal in my left foot. He told me it was "an easy procedure" and put in a plate. My toe is now permanently sticking up in the air. He brushed it off with "it is functional".
Dr. Parekh surgically fused my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd metatarsals in Dec, 2016. My foot pain is no better, just different than it was before. Additionally, after I received my walking-boot, I discovered that I had a vicious fungal skin infection that has now spread to my large toenail, which will be falling off soon. So now I'm on oral and topical anti-fungal medications which requires monthly blood work. The table where they remove/replace hard casts was always absolutely filthy (covered with 'gunk' from previous patients) and I personally cleaned it twice, but to no avail as I still ended up with the fungal infection.
