The Scrap Exchange is a true gem and everyone close to Durham should visit it at least once, or maybe even host an event there!
Lots and lots of vendors in a very large open building. Interesting items and hard to find decor for antique collectors and those who are dressing up a shop, office or home. Also good for an hour or more of just browsing through over an acre of vendor space.
I'm rating the condition of the shopping center itself. It's improving, but needs work. The parking space available is decent, but the spaces and roadways through the shopping center are littered with holes. I don't have an expensive car, but I still find myself cautiously driving through the area.
Lakewood shopping center has a Dollar General and a small Beauty World. There is plenty parking and handicapped accessible entrances. Have fun!!!
