Who doesnt like Durham Central Park. Farmers market, food truck rodeo and other cultural events. There is also a kids play area on the other side of the park ( fun for the adults too) the surrounding area is growing and it just add some good sights near the park. A staple stop in the Downtown area
The park itself is not very large. I'd say it's between a quarter to half a square mile in total area. Also, there doesn't seem to be a water fountain, at least not a visible one. Restrooms are available, however. There is a nice play area for kids as well as a small skate park. If you're an adult, the best time to come would be Saturday mornings/afternoons, where half of the park turns into a market place, with many vendors selling produce and merchandise from booths or food trucks. The location of the park may be it's best feature, as it is within walking distance of many other nice spots in downtown Durham.
Nice little skatepark. Amazing farmers market/food truck rodeo. However both will be crazy crowded. If you can brave the crowds its worth it.
Had a good time with the children on the swing s and slides .Had more fun running behide the kids. Believe I had more fun than they did. In Durham stop by have fun.!!!!
Love the Farmer's market and glad that they prohibit dogs in the market. The Hunt Street market is also fun with food trucks and some crafts booths. Wish there was a prohibition on dogs here as well since I would enjoy my food more if I didn't have to worry about being approached while eating and the occasional dog fight is also not fun. Great playground for kids also.
