Wonderful food market with a huge selection of quality grocery products, which include organic and non-organic goods, bakery goods, wines, fresh produce, grains sold in bulk, natural personal care products (and cosmetics), etc. Amazing selection! They have a salad bar with hot and cold food, and a burger counter. You can take out or eat in, and there's plenty of seating available. The only reason why I can't give it 5 stars is the high prices in spite of weekly sales, also based on personal comparison with other supermarkets in the area.
Excellent bakery and prepared food section. Very helpful and friendly staff. The location makes it a great place to stop for a bite and go for a walk - shopping on 9th street or a lap around the Duke "wall".
I was afraid that with Amazon being the new owners that this place would lose its essence. Other than a few small changes, it hasn't. Parking is often crowded. But this is a great place for those who love food and want to try new things.
There are some wonderful things about this whole foods location. The outside patio is lovely. It's in a very convenient location. There are also a couple not so good things. The parking lot is dangerous with poor visibility and poor traffic patterning. The store is crammed full of stuff so it doesn't leave much room for people when the store fills up. I always leave with what I need but also a little more stressed.
I love shopping here at Whole foods for so many different reasons. One I love the Deli, the cakes, the pies and the fresh bread make it so hard to stick to a diet. I love the salad bar with its fresh items and fruit make it a great place to come and eat after a good workout! I can always find the best smoked Gouda here and the being a fish lover, I always find it hard to choose what fresh fish I want to take home for dinner. The staff are really nice and always helping if you need anything.
