I far prefer Petco to PetSmart because of this place. It's spacious and all the employees are very friendly. This is where we trained our pup (ask for Melissa if you can!) And where he gets groomed. Look out for their $50 pals rewards for signing up for a training class! That's the best deal because you can combine with the (FREE) puppy book coupon and it ends up costing like $60-$70 net. By the way, that puppy book is GOLD. PetSmart, on the other hand, won't even let you combine manufacturer coupons with store coupons (what?!) And their employees are not as nice.
Upon arrival, we checked our dog in and gave vet records. Our dog was reluctant to go as most dogs are. The staff pulled our dog by the leash dragging her until she complied. I understand that you have to move the dogs but you shouldn't drag them by the neck as this was a big turn off for us. The grooming process took about 4 hours even though we made an appointment. They did call and update us about our dog to let us know that she was a bit matted and they need to shave her down, which was okay.
Take my dog for self was all the time. Was going to stop due to a really mean lady from grooming. Last time i was there they have a young lady thats very nice and does everything she can to make u feel welcome
Upon pick up we paid and check her out. The staff were friendly and spoke to us a bit about our dog. Ultimately, the cut was very uneven, patchy, and our dog had a cut across her neck where the clippers got too close. Overall, we would not recommend Petco grooming and we will not come back again.
I have never been treated and disrespected like I was today by the grooming salon's manager with the support of one of the store's managers. I have been taking two of my dogs to this store for grooming for many years. This time they were charging me double the amount I usually pay. I complained about it. The grooming salon manager became disrespectful and defiant and refused to reduce the price. I asked for the store manager. The store manager came and convinced the other manager to allow me to pay a more reasonable amount. Then the groomer refused to take my dog saying that she did not feel comfortable doing it. The store manager let the grooming salon's manager and the groomer to refuse grooming my dog. I had to leave with my dog. It is unbelievable. I think had a lot to do with me having an accent. They completely discriminated me against. Find another place to groom your dogs and another store to shop. The customer services is terrible.
Would not recommend for pet grooming. We took our dog here and the staff was friendly but there was no real sense of customer service and professionalism . No formal introduction on the pet grooming process; how long it would take, or strong love for animals. .
I really enjoyed shopping at this Petco, the staff was always extremely helpful and friendly. We started taking our rescue puppy for weekly puppy playtime to get her socialized with other dogs and people and prepare her for puppy training. Recently, we were informed that it was corporate policy to not allow nervous dogs at puppy playtime OR puppy training! How are we supposed to get our nervous puppy to break out of her shell? Well for starters, we will go to another pet supply store. We were ready to get our pup fully trained at this location and have even had her groomed here, but we will no longer be shopping at this or any other Petco.
